Rehearsal Dinner

Wedding

We decided to do our rehearsal dinner on the Thursday before the wedding to give us an opportunity to have a welcome party with our family’s on Friday. I’m so happy we did that! It helped make the experience feel more relaxed as we didn’t have the jitters leading up to the big day (yet lol).

We got married on private land about 40minutes outside of our hometown. Austin and the groomsmen were going to be getting ready in town and myself  along with the bridal party were going to be getting ready at our cabin on the same property as the wedding venue. We had busses transporting us and all wedding guests to make sure we didn’t run out of parking. With that, we wanted to make sure all the timing was correct so we literally practiced as if the big day was happening.

Once we were done with rehearsal, we took a bus back to town to the most beautiful green house-turned venue where we had a very small and intimate rehearsal dinner with just our wedding party and closest family.

The Venue is called The Green House at Bittersweet. It’s a green house turned wedding venue! The staff at Bittersweet and our wedding planner Orange Door Weddings made the planning process so easy! We were up in the air about doing a venue for the rehearsal dinner with it being so small so it was kind of a last minute decision to book at Bittersweet so we are very thankful for all of the hard-work put into this event! It turned out even more gorgeous than I ever could have imagined!

My little sister gave the sweetest speech! It had everyone tearing up. She planned to do the speech at the wedding but i’m so happy we switched it to the Rehearsal Dinner because it needed its own and more inmate moment!

It happened to be one of our flower girl’s birthday the same night as the Rehearsal Dinner so to show her our appreciation for her spending the day with us we had to surprise her with a cake and sing her happy birthday!

Austin’s mom had the coolest groomsmen cake made for our gambling loving groom! Meringue Bakery also hits it out of the park!
